Bio

Though her existence began in the same year the Spice Girls movie premiered, Mikayla considers her birth to be much more iconic. Though she’s grown up in many different places, she has always considered her favorite books, musicians, and tv shows to be the ones who raised her. She is originally from Michigan, but she has lived in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for twenty out of the twenty-three years of her living, and she spends a lot of her time working at 83 Custom Coffee throughout the week.

When she is not crafting the perfect caffeinated beverage, she is working hard to finish the lasts couple of classes for her Master’s of Arts in Communication & Business Leadership at High Point University and transitioning into her full-time job. In August of 2021, she will be starting a full-time position with the international organization Young Life, and is doing a lot of pre-work for it in the months leading up to it.

She loves anything that involves music, whether that is listening to music, making playlists, singing, or songwriting. Also, she has an acute addiction to Target and buying books she doesn’t have time to read. She loves hanging out with her friends and being able to serve them in any way that she can. She's also bilingual and if you can keep up with her, she'd love to talk with you in Spanish some time!
